#325-My SPM Results. 12:47

Well, today was the day of the SPM results in Malaysia. I called my dad this morning as soon as I woke up to get my results. I passed all subjects which isn't too bad. From what I know, my mum and my brother went to pick it up from the school.

Here is a summary of my results;

English (A1)
Modern Mathematics (A1)
English for Science and Technology (B3)
Bahasa Malaysia (C5)
Pendidikan Moral (C6)
Additional Mathematics (D7)
Sejarah (E8)
Physics (E8)
Biology (E8)
Chemistry (E8)

Overall, I think I'm pretty satisfied with the results. I expected the 3 Sciences and Sejarah to get low results and my English and Modern Mathematics to get an A. What your results for those who took the exams last November?

#323-SPM results coming out tomorrow!! 14:27

Well guys, time does fly. Last November, most of the 17 year olds in Malaysia sat for the SPM examinations. Tomorrow, the 12th of March 2009 will be the results day where all the results will be announced. Anyone excited or not excited? Do leave a mumble or something in the chatterbox. I won't be able to collect my results as I'm 10000kms away in London. I've asked my parents to hold back until I head home in the summer to collect it, but now I'm like oh what-the-hell, I'll ask them to collect it. Maybe I'll ask for something if I get moderately ok results. Who knows, eh? I don't expect the best results out there. And I'm not really excited to be frank. Lol!

#308-The Last Day of SPM. 23:40

27th November 2008, that was the last day of SPM for our batch of Form 5's last year. It was a pretty fun yet sad day (more fun though), as it was the day we all parted and the last day we stepped into the school wearing our uniforms (except those going back for Form 6). The last paper was EST 1 and EST 2 and the paper was pretty ok, I must say. Here are some pictures from that day as I brought my camera along with me to school.

#249-Another Chapter Of My Life Closed 19:25

Well, as of yesterday, the SPM exams for me finished. What a relief! The whole exam was ok. On the first day it was BM 1 and 2 and Sejarah 1, they were all alright. 2nd day was English 1 and 2 and Sejarah 2. English was alright. Sejarah 2 was hard. Maths 1 and 2 on the 3rd day was quite easy. On the 18th of November (the 4th day), there was Add Maths and Moral. They were both hard. Chemistry, Biology and Physics were all moderate and as for the last paper of the whole exam, English for Science and Technology, it was easy.

So like I said, another chapter of my life closes yesterday at 3.15pm. The new chapter, however, just started right after that. It was home first, had a quick bath then it was off to Gurney Plaza. I stayed there, went to Starbucks, visited Switch and Charlie Communications. Then I met both Timothy and Shee Siang in Switch and we hung around for a little bit. At night, we had dinner at Sakae Sushi which was unfortunately, a bad experience.

After dinner, it was the time to.......you know.............buy my new lappie!!!! I got the Macbook Pro 15-inch 2.4GHz. IT IS A SUPER DUPER FREAKING AWESOMEEE LAPTOP!!! I will post the pictures I took and the unboxing video up later.

P.S. Sorry for the past few boring-no-pictures posts. This will be the last one and the photoblog will resume say, later today?

#204-SPM Trials Day Ten/Last Day, Chemistry 3 and Biology 2 16:37

Well peeps, trials are overrr!! That means temporary freedom until the real deal comes. Today's papers are Chemistry 3 which was easy and Biology 2 was so-so la.

#202-SPM Trials Day Nine, Physics 1 and Mathematics 2 11:16

Woooo, can't wait man! One last day tomorrow before trials end then we have temporary freedom! Well, today we had Physics 1 which was pretty alright. Nothing tooooo tough. Just normal questions, some of them were tough though. The second paper was Maths 2 and throughout the entire paper, I just charged on, without sleeping at all for both papers actually. Maths 2 was a bit hard in a couple of questions, but the rest was easy as ABC. I actually did the whole of Section B which was picking four out of five questions. I didn't do two of the Section A questions. But overall the paper was good.

#201-SPM Trials Day Eight, Biology 1, Chemistry 1 and Chemistry 2 17:03

Today's paper, oh wait, as of this post, the time is 12.04am. So, it makes it yesterday's papers were Biology 1, Chemistry 1 and Chemistry 2. Biology 1 was alright. The usual. Chemistry 1 was a harder and many people will find Chemistry 2 the toughest, including me. Like I always think, once it's done, it's done. And I know I did my best. Heh.

#200-200th post, Sadhu! / SPM Trials Day Seven, Sejarah 1 and 2 16:56

Well, I finally reached 200 posts in say what, 5 months? Again Sadhu to you all who comes to my blog and read it.

Anyways, I'm gonna talk about Day Seven of SPM Trials which is on a Monday and carries the subjects Sejarah (History) 1 and 2.

Sejarah 1 was so-so only. But, Sejarah 2 was tough. It was a pretty stressful day on that particular day so yea.

I had these 2 papers last Friday. EST 2 was surprisingly a bit tough. I dunno why. English 2, on the other hand was slightly better. Nothing much to say here.

#194-SPM Trials Day Five, Physics 2 and 3 13:45

Today's papers? Well, Physics 3 which came first was alright. About the same level as Biology 3. I might have screwed up in my graph drawing, but the paper's past already right? So forget about that and wait until the marks. Physics 2 was harder than Physics 3 but what can you expect? Physics 2 is Essays and Structure while Physics 3 is designing experiments and just finding the answers for the diagrams and all.

#193-Is the Government stupid or something? 13:45

This is concerning the Add Maths and Moral paper that we SPM peeps this year are taking. I mean, I'm not the kind who bothers to study SO extremely hard for a test or something, but this is just plain stupid. Why do we have to sit for Add Maths 1 on the 14th of November 2008, 0800hrs to 1000hrs. Then half and hour later we take Add Maths 2, 1030hrs to 1300hrs. That's just the limit. I'm fine with that, for real. Just that, the government decided to add Pendidikan Moral, a 2 1/2hrs paper right after Add Maths originally from 1400hrs to 1630hrs. Now, due to alot of complains, you know what they did? The Education Ministry just shifted it an effin' 1/2hr later. I mean, can't they shift it to the next day or something when the Pendidikan Islam papers are going on? They either have brains who can't function properly while planning the timetable, or the are messed up with the recent hoo-hah happening around Malaysia.

On a side note, some rants about the SPM. Right before looking at the timetable, I never knew the SPM was full of weird and random papers. Dandanan Rambut (Hair Styling), Menservis Automobil (Automobile Service), Tanaman Makanan (Food Planting), and Persolekan (Make-Up) are just some of the weird papers offered in the SPM. Can you believe that? They actually have a paper just for Make-Up. My oh my!

#189-SPM Trials Day Four, Biology 3, Bahasa Malaysia 2 and Mathematics 1 09:03

It was 3, 2, and 1 today. In order. Didn't know whether anyone realised it, but yea. It was Biology 3 at first, I must say it's the first time of me filling up all the blanks in the paper and only leaving two blank because I didn't know how to do that question. Mmmm. This paper basically consists of answering questions from an experiment and designing your own experiment. The designing part I didn't really finish it because there was no time.

Bahasa Malaysia 2 was ok. Just a little problems here and there. Maths 1 is ok too. Quite easy here and there and a little difficult here and there.

#188-SPM Trials Day Three, English 1 and Pendidikan Moral 08:39

English 1 was quite okay. There were two sections, Directed Writing Section A and Continuous Writing Section B. I must say, I almost finished my Directed Writing Section A when the white-afro-haired lady also known as Ms. Pillay says times up.....

"Alex didn't do Section B???"

No lar. I did Section B first before Section A, I'm kinda more inclined to do the question with more marks first then move on to Section A. What I did for Section B?

Question is as follows,
1.)Describe the best holiday you had with your family.

Whoa! I did write a pretty long essay close to 700 words on that topic. I mostly wrote down my whole European Adventure last year. It was a pretty good essay written I must say, now we'll just have to wait and see what I got. BUT, with capital B, U and T, I can never beat these two people who have very imaginative minds, Jonathan who wrote 993 words, I said, "Why don't you just add 7 words to make it 1000? LOL". And Delton who wrote and astonishing 1300 words, 1000 more words than needed. My gosh! And they still have the time to complete the Section A.

Moral was usual. Hard. Most peeps I know, didn't quite study the Moral nilais. I did remember a few and some of the questions were just logical questions which needed your own answer.

#181-SPM Trials Day Two, EST 1 and Bahasa Malaysia 1 09:25

Today's papers were much much easier then yesterday's. It was EST 1 for the first half of the day and Bahasa Malaysia 1 for the second half. EST 1 was easier though. I did a Laporan for Bahagian 2, Bahasa Malaysia 1, and I only did part of Bahagian 1, I didn't have sufficient points in my mind (writer's block), plus, there wasn't enough time.
